Kawatsura lacquerware is a traditional craft from Yuzawa City, Akita Prefecture, with a history dating back to the Kamakura period and dating back more than 800 years. Sato Shoji is one of the core companies carrying on the history of Kawatsura lacquerware, and is actively engaged in activities to connect the tradition to the future, such as expanding overseas to London, Paris, Monaco, etc., and collaborating with designers and brands.
