The Matsue Suigosai Lakeside Fireworks Festival is one of Japan's leading lakeside fireworks festivals, held on Lake Shinji in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture. It features fireworks launched over the beautiful surface of Lake Shinji, including continuous diagonal shots, continuous starmine 100mm fireworks, simultaneous launches of 100mm fireworks from four boats, and a unique "curtain drop" that can only be achieved at such a large venue, which reflects on the dark lake surface and creates a beautiful sight. In 2024, a total of 21,000 fireworks are scheduled to be launched, with 10,000 on Saturday, August 3rd and 11,000 on Sunday, August 4th.
