We developed the first program in Japan called "Horse Rogue" (formerly Horse Coaching), which allows participants to reflect on themselves while facing a bare horse. We have provided this program to over 2,000 business people, including entrepreneurs and CEOs. In February 2024, we published "The Natural Leadership Textbook" (Asahi Publishing), a book summarizing the philosophy and techniques of our service.
Graduated from Waseda University Graduate School. Belonged to an environmental NGO while a student. Received training in facilitation and program design, and visited European countries and South Africa to work on global warming and international debt issues. Served as the organization's representative for one year. After graduating, joined TV Asahi. Served as a news program director in the news department. Later, in order to deepen her understanding of the Korean Peninsula issue, which she was mainly in charge of, she left and moved to the United States. Worked as a visiting researcher at the Mike Mansfield Foundation. At the same time, worked at the Washington branch of Jiji Press. After that, she lived in Bangladesh before returning to Japan. Since then, she has been working as a single mother for seven years. As she was feeling increasingly frustrated with her days of prioritizing a "stable life" over her own "wants," she discovered COAS through an article in the Nikkei in 2019. Determined to make a major change to her way of working, she joined COAS in January 2020. The following year, she moved to Sapporo with her daughter. At COAS, in addition to being in charge of the ranch and horses, she also handles all the practical work required for the job and is a program facilitator. The roots of her current lifestyle lie in the depression she experienced in her late 20s, the unexpected divorce she experienced in her late 30s (when her daughter was 2 years old), and the subsequent discomfort she felt as she shifted to a lifestyle that prioritized financial stability. Now, through a life centered around horses, she is learning self-acceptance and trust in others. As a parent, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, who has chosen not to go to school since the fourth grade of elementary school. She loves passive leadership time, spending aimlessly with horses!
