In 1804, Hachisaburo Ueda, who was a weaving craftsman in Kimachi (now Zaimokucho), Okazaki, moved to Renjaku, Okazaki City, and started a kimono business. Since then, the first generation Yasaburo, the second generation Ishishiba, the third generation Toshiro, the fourth generation Ryoji, the fifth generation Ryohei, the sixth generation Ichiro, and the seventh generation Koichiro have continued to run kimono shops in Okazaki for 219 years. Today, it boasts the oldest history as a kimono shop in the Nishi-Mikawa district, and continues to this day. Through the sale of kimono, we propose a rich Japanese lifestyle. We have continued to do business in Okazaki more than any other store, and we are familiar with the tastes of the people of Okazaki. We specialize in making kimonos for those who enjoy traditional Japanese practices such as tea ceremony, Japanese dance, and kimono dressing. In recent years, we have held various kimono events such as kimono dressing classes, rakugo performances, lunch parties, and kimono culture classes. Please feel free to contact us about anything related to kimono.
