Ryuko Kiln Sano Ceramics [GEMBA Monozukuri Expo] features

Pottery specializing in figurines protected by brothers Kutani pottery pottery founded in the latter half of the Taisho era in Yawata, Komatsu City, where one of the leading pottery production areas in Japan gathers, has continued for three generations since 1945. The first generation, Yoshimatsu Sano, is a master of potter's wheel who honed his potter's wheel at the kilns in Kyoto and Kanazawa. Yukio II is a traditional craftsman who learned from Ichiga Numata. Currently, Shinichiro III is the owner, and Mitsuo, a younger brother, is in charge of the prototype. Mitsuo is also a sculptor who learned from Yuma Tsugada (sculptor). In recent years, we have been actively working on in-house product development as well as making-to-order products, and we are also taking on the challenge of making molds with 3D printers in cooperation with workshops in Kaga City.
