Founded in 1930 (Showa 5). Japan's first museum centered on Western art. Located in the center of Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter, the temple-style architecture is in harmony with the beautiful Japanese streets that have remained since the Edo period. Approximately 3,000 works of a wide range of genres, including Western paintings from the modern era, Japanese modern to contemporary works, Japanese crafts, and East Asian and Orient antiquities. About half of them are on permanent display. The exhibition facility is divided into three parts, the main building, the annex, and the crafts and oriental building, where you can enjoy works with different tastes. * As of 2021, the "branch building" is closed and operated as a measure against the spread of covid-19 infection. 訪問する前に見所をつかむことができ、リアルでの訪問がとても楽しみになりました。オンラインを活かし、作品をクローズアップして鑑賞できたので、普通では見られない細部に注目できて、引き込まれました。また作品収集に関するエピソードも興味深かったです。他にも見てみたい作品がたくさんあるので、また参加してみたいと思いました。
東北地方から参加しました。大原美術館の魅力が存分に楽しめる1時間でした。コロナ収束の際には、素晴らしい大原美術館を訪れたいです。オンラインですと、小さいお子さんとも一緒に美術館を楽しめますね。
大変有名な美術館でありながら、オンラインでツアーを簡単に体験でき、学芸員の方から直接説明な見方のアドバイスを頂ける、非常に楽しくためになるツアーでした。１時間はあっという間で、もっと見たい作品がありましたが、今回のツアーは現地での鑑賞の際に楽しみを倍増してくれるものでした。ありがとうございました。
館の成り立ち、主要な作品の解説はもちろん、ちょっとした小ネタも盛り込まれておりながら、所要時間は約1時間と、非常にコンパクトで充実したオンラインツアーだった。ぜひリアルでも訪れたいと思った。
中1娘の美術館調べの宿題で、コロナ禍により断念した大原美術館を取り上げ、オンラインツアーに参加させて頂きました。美術館初心者ですので、絵画を近くから見たり離れて見たりすることで見え方が異なり、想像の幅や表現の奥深さが増すことを知り、大変興味深く、感動しました。事前に大原孫三郎と児島虎次郎のことは調べていましたが、レオン・フレデリックの7枚の連作にまつわる二人の絆の強さに胸が熱くなり、説明を受けてより親しみがわきました。爽やかな笑顔で案内して下さった岡崎さんにも好感が持て、楽しい時間を過ごせました。実際に赴いて本物を観たいという思いが強くなりました。
