We are a studio that handles everything from indigo cultivation to dyeing and processing. Vegetable dyeing refers to the process of dyeing cloth by extracting pigments from flower petals, grass, and tree branches. This vegetable dyeing is also used in some of the dyeing techniques of Oshima Tsumugi. At Amami-no-Sato, you can actually dye handkerchiefs and other cloth products with plant dyes to create original scarves in deep colors. After the experience, you can take a walk in the elegant Japanese garden that shows the expressions of the four seasons and the Amami-style garden that reproduces the virgin forest of Amami.
