It's frigid! Seeing the stars in the clear night sky is sure to be a memorable experience! Even a blizzard night is amazing! Experience the frigid snowfields at night on snowshoes or snowjiks. While snowshoe tours are popular, snowjiks are actually easier to walk on. In Japan, we also have claw-shaped snowjiks (not used on tours). A must-have in Japan's snow country is simply "amazing." The tour will take place once the snow depth reaches 50 cm and the undergrowth is hidden by snow. The 2025 Starry Sky: The Geminid meteor shower will peak around 5:00 PM on December 14th (the best viewing times are from late night on the 13th to early morning on the 14th and from late night on the 14th to early morning on the 15th). The 2026 Starry Sky: The first third of the 2026 New Moon and the first quarter of the 2026 Full Moon will see the Quadrantid meteor shower peak. (The moon is bright and the conditions are poor.) January 19th is a new moon. February 2nd is a full moon. February 17th is a new moon. March 3rd is a full moon (worm moon). Total lunar eclipse is March 19th. Around 11 PM on December 14th, the Geminid meteor shower will peak (the best viewing time is from late night on the 14th to the early morning of the 15th). December 24th is a full moon (cold moon) (super moon). This is the full moon closest to Earth in 2026.

For those who want to explore and experience the beauty of the mountains rather than adventure, we offer trekking and hiking experiences in snowshoes or snow shoes. We have four courses available. In April, we will be offering snow activities in addition to the regular courses. You can make snow sculptures (snowmen), slide down snowy slopes on your buttocks, and observe nature.

This is a limited activity available for one month only in September. Right in the middle of the Northern Alps, the roof of Japan... Why was Kurobe Dam built here? From Kurobe Dam to the bridge downstream of the dam, we will look up at the water discharge from Kurobe Dam from below and examine the contents of Tamori's program on NHK Saturdays at 7:30 pm. We will examine the economy of Kansai at the time and why Kurobe Dam had to be built in the rugged mountains where no human had ever set foot. We will also walk up the steep slope at the starting point of the Lower Corridor, so this course is recommended for intermediate climbers. If you change the end point downstream, this course is also recommended for beginners. You will definitely be impressed by the magnificent panoramic views of the hidden Kurobe Gorge.
