This trekking tour covers all of the Shiretoko Five Lakes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a special protected area of Shiretoko National Park, including the elevated boardwalk. This is the first groundbreaking forest adventure experience in Japan, where licensed guides guide you through areas where brown bears live. You can observe not only the lakes, but also the seasonal changes in nature, such as Ezo deer, Ezo red foxes, wild birds, alpine plants, and autumn leaves. Since the animals are not fed, all the creatures you encounter are real wild animals. We may be able to accommodate times that are not listed in the selection column, so please contact us. The walking trail may be closed due to the appearance of brown bears, snowfall, storms, etc. If we know of a closure in advance, we will contact you on your mobile device and offer you the option to cancel (free of charge) or an alternative course (same price), or a different date and time, if you wish. The Shiretoko Five Lakes are a representative tourist spot in Shiretoko and are a must-see. A certified guide will slowly guide you along a course of about 3 km with little elevation change. Even during busy periods such as summer vacation and autumn holidays, you can experience the tranquility of Shiretoko here. This course passes through old development sites and forests to see the groundwater waterfalls that flow into the Sea of Okhotsk. On clear days, you can see the 200m high cliffs that stretch all the way to Cape Shiretoko. Like "Furepe Falls," this is a course to see cliff waterfalls, but this one is a bit wilder, with no walking trails and requiring climbing over logs. This is a walking course that goes around the hot spring source supplied to Noboribetsu's Hot spring town. Enjoy forest bathing while walking through Jigokudani, Oyunuma, Okunoyu, and natural footbath while listening to explanations from a fun guide. The scenery of Shiretoko Goko, which is the core of the World Natural Heritage Area, changes depending on the season. The guide will introduce you to the highlights of each season.
