Smelt fishing that feels like a fishing pond near Ishikari Bay New Port, which is close to Sapporo city. If you want to catch smelt, but the ice has not frozen yet, or if the ice has melted, we recommend this option for those who just want to enjoy fishing, or those who just want to catch a fish. The Ishikari Discharge Channel, a shortcut that connects the Ibarato River to Ishikari Bay, is a hidden spot for smelt fishing.
