[Ishigaki Island Long-legged Shrimp Fishing & Light Trekking] Duration: Approximately 3 hours. Held twice a day, in the morning and afternoon. A half-day long-legged shrimp fishing & trekking tour that can be enjoyed on Ishigaki Island in Okinawa Prefecture. Beginners are welcome, and rental equipment is included! No special preparation is required. Since it is a mountain tour, it can be held even if the sea is rough with strong winds! People who have suddenly changed their plans are also welcome. ・Arakawa Falls on the northwest side of Ishigaki Island. There are two waterfalls, one upstream and one downstream. When you think of waterfalls, you think of Iriomote Island. In fact, there is a magnificent waterfall on Ishigaki Island as well. While trekking to this waterfall full of negative ions, you will climb and fish for long-legged shrimp. ・The main target is the [Konjin Long-legged Shrimp], the largest long-legged shrimp in Japan, and is only found in Okinawa and the Yaeyama Islands. It is a large species with a body length of over 15 cm, and some that can exceed 30 cm when stretched out. Written in kanji, it is called "Konjin Tenagaebi" (golden god long-legged shrimp). The shrimp's body is tinged with an ochre color, which is where the name comes from. ・Our experienced staff will carefully teach you how to fish and how to catch fish easily. If you are not good at fishing, the staff will help you, so please feel free to ask. With the staff by your side, even first-time fishermen, beginners and small children can enjoy fishing with peace of mind. ・You can eat the crayfish you catch at affiliated izakayas and restaurants. *Reservation required. Smelt fishing that feels like a fishing pond near Ishikari Bay New Port, which is close to Sapporo city. If you want to catch smelt, but the ice has not frozen yet, or if the ice has melted, we recommend this option for those who just want to enjoy fishing, or those who just want to catch a fish. The Ishikari Discharge Channel, a shortcut that connects the Ibarato River to Ishikari Bay, is a hidden spot for smelt fishing. The seawall is well maintained and you can enjoy it as if you were at a fishing pond. The location of smelt changes depending on the weather, and if your hunch is right, you may catch up to 40 smelt in an hour. Why not try fishing during the recommended time? Basically, you can take your catch home, but if you really want to try it as tempura, please contact us. On your way home after fishing, please stop by tourist facilities and scenic spots to enjoy a fulfilling day. *Free transportation is available from hotels in the center of Sapporo, such as in front of Sapporo Station.
