It is no exaggeration to say that it is the lake with the most guided elements among the Fuji Five Lakes. What is the appeal of Lake Saiko? Unlike Lake Kawaguchi and Lake Yamanaka, engine boats, power boats, and sightseeing boats are prohibited, so there are no artificial waves and it is calm. It can be enjoyed safely by beginners, those with children, and those with dogs. It is a lake right next to Lake Kawaguchi, so it is easy to access from your accommodation (15 minutes by car from Kawaguchiko Station). The water is clean and the environment is very quiet. Facing the sea of trees, you can see and touch the impressive lava belt that formed the sea of trees up close. There are many campsites around the lakeside, so you can join a tour while camping. It is the only lake in Japan where "Kunimasu" live. Depending on the course and the number of participants on the day, you can see Mt. Fuji. Cruise around Lake Saiko with a guide and enjoy the fun of kayaking, as well as the nature and sights of Lake Saiko. Seasonal characteristics: Spring The cold season is over, and the water temperature is still cold, but it is a comfortable season during the day. It is the season when it is easy to see Mt. Fuji covered in snow, so we often go on Mt. Fuji observation cruises. ・Summer Lake Saiko, located at an altitude of about 900 meters, is the best summer resort! Summer is the season for swimming in the lake! You can splash each other with water guns and jump into the water from a kayak! ・Autumn The temperature gradually drops and in early November, you can go on a cruise to see the autumn leaves. The mountains around Lake Saiko are covered with broadleaf forests, and the contrast between the green of Aokigahara Jukai and the autumn leaves of the surrounding mountains is amazing. ・Winter It is a cold season, but the charm of kayaking is that you can enjoy it if you take measures against the cold. Canoe type: The Canadian canoe used in the experience is a type of canoe, which is basically a boat for 2 to 3 people, and is a vehicle that is rowed using a tool called a paddle. It is relatively stable, and because it is an open deck type, it has a high loading capacity and is characterized by being able to touring leisurely. Field: The place to experience is Lake Kawaguchi, one of the Five Lakes of Fuji at the foot of Mt. Fuji, a World Heritage Site. It will be an experience while looking at Mt. Fuji. From March to May holidays, we will be holding a wild vegetable tour at the foot of Mt. Fuji in Yamanashi Prefecture. There are two sessions, AM and PM, where you search for wild vegetables in the fields with a wild vegetable guide, and the tour ends with making tempura and eating them. This is a tour where you will learn about the points of catching wild vegetables, how to cook them, and take them home with you. This tour is suitable for families, toddlers, and elementary school students. If you are using a train or bus, we can also pick you up and drop you off at Kawaguchiko Station. Get off at Shinjuku Busta bound for Kawaguchiko Station. Wild vegetables to be collected: Tara buds, Udo, Zenmai, Kogomi, Japanese pepper leaves, and others. What to bring: UpDawn trekking shoes.
