This event is held throughout the year, and after observing insects in the forest (larvae from autumn to spring), parents and children will explore the creatures in the river. On the day, gather at the meeting point and rent a Panasonic electric bicycle (with front and rear child seats, 20-inch and 24-inch MTBs are available for upper elementary school students) (free of charge). Put on gloves and go through the grass and turn over stones to catch fish and crayfish. Spring water and cold water points do not move, so you can catch them with your bare hands. The main targets for capture are turtles, frogs, catfish, Japanese mitten crabs, striped shrimp, Yamato swamp shrimp, American crayfish, Ukigoi, Chichibu, loach, Moroko, Motsugo, Japanese river snail, Taiwanese clam, dragonfly nymph, and river insects. Many creatures live behind the stones and many hide underneath, so turn over lots of stones to see them. Winter observations are easier to observe. We look forward to your participation and applications. If you cancel on the day, we will reschedule free of charge. If you wish to take fish home, please bring a plastic case and bubble tea (battery-operated; only the fish need oxygen). There are many paid parking lots at the local meeting point. We will meet at the market 10 minutes before the tour starts. If you are delayed due to traffic congestion, we would appreciate it if you could consider an afternoon Seesion or change the date. This is a summer-only, nightly tour for capturing rhinoceros beetles and stag beetles, aimed at small children. It will be held mainly on weekdays when there is less competition. We apologize for the late hour, but we would be happy to help you make summer memories with your children. We look forward to your early reservations. ▼Experience content On the day, we will visit several points and introduce some tips for observation. We will observe rhinoceros beetles and stag beetles. You can see cicadas emerging, long-horned beetles, stag beetles, centipedes, and occasionally raccoons. There are fewer hornets at night, so it is safe. The number of observations varies depending on the weather, but generally ranges from a few to a maximum of several dozen, and the number of observations decreases before and after rain. Please understand that we cannot commit to the number of observations due to the natural environment. All observed insects will be released on site, and we will bring you the same insects captured in the countryside (mainly Ibaraki and Tochigi prefectures). ▼Meeting information・Customers travelling by car or on foot: Please come directly to the meeting point at 7pm. *Details will only be provided to guests who have made a reservation.▼DisbandmentThe tour will end around 8:30pm, and you can return by train. This will be an experience tour where you will use a hammer to break down fallen trees that you have captured in your local forest and your own garden to search for adult (hibernating) stag beetles and larvae. As there is a limit to the number of rotten trees, we will be holding individual events for each family, and depending on the number of rotten trees we have in stock, we will be able to accommodate your request, so we look forward to hearing from you. The trapping time is one hour in your home's garden, followed by explanation, splitting the fallen wood, and searching for fallen wood in the nearby forest (near Fuchu and Chofu). Thank you.
