The long-awaited cherry blossom season is upon us. Who will you enjoy cherry blossom viewing with this year? **** Oji is known as a famous cherry blossom spot dating back to the Edo period. Asukayama, where Shibusawa Eiichi spent his final years, is a famous cherry blossom spot planted by the 8th Tokugawa Shogun, Yoshimune, for the enjoyment of the common people. Additionally, Otonashi Waterfront Park, where you can enjoy the cherry blossoms at night, has long been a popular recreational spot, offering spectacular seasonal views of cherry blossoms and autumn leaves. First, take in the pink Asukayama scenery from the observation deck on the 17th floor of Hoku-Topia! Next, stroll along the quiet banks of the Otonashi River, reminiscent of the Edo period, to the historic Oji Shrine, one of Tokyo's top 10 shrines. After your visit, visit the Red Brick Sake Brewery (formerly the Brewing Research Institute), which is usually closed to the public. This is a sacred place for sake, which has contributed to the modernization and industrial development of Japanese sake brewing. It was also the site of the National New Sake Tasting Competition, which has now been relocated to Hiroshima Prefecture. For the master brewers who learned the latest techniques here and brought them back to their local breweries, this place became a second home. Listen to detailed commentary from a sake sommelier as you tour the interior of this beautiful, 120-year-old historic building and see the tools used at the time. During a sake tasting lunch at a restaurant in Asukayama, a certified sake sommelier guide will introduce you to a variety of sakes and convey their appeal. You can also sample limited-edition daiginjo sake "Hiei" and kijo sake "Byakko," both brewed with yeast from cherry blossoms in Asukayama, where Eiichi Shibusawa spent his final years. You might find your favorite! *Seating is limited, so please make your reservation early! *While it's difficult to predict the cherry blossom season, we accept date changes (if available) or cancellations up to 48 hours in advance. *Please select your preferred beverage (alcoholic or soft drinks) as an option.
