You may also see eagles, woodpeckers, and flying squirrels, which are protected species of birds. During the snowy season, you will walk through Shiretoko National Park, a World Heritage Site, on snowshoes. If there is no snow, you will walk without snowshoes. You will walk through natural forests and see waterfalls and giant icicles flowing into the Sea of Okhotsk, and depending on the season, drift ice. You can mainly observe Ezo deer and wild birds. You may also see eagles, woodpeckers, and flying squirrels, which are designated as natural monuments. Trekking in the woods wearing snowshoes! Let's go to see the fantastic "waterfall of haze"! Walking time is about one hour round trip. Since the go traveling at your own pace, you can enjoy anyone without difficulty.

The greatest feature of this tour is that you can enjoy the untouched nature of Shiretoko on snowshoes in areas that do not have well-maintained walking trails and still retain their pristine nature. During the tour, you can stop at a viewpoint with a spectacular view of the tip of the Shiretoko Peninsula, where you can see the hidden waterfalls that flow from the cliffs, frozen by the freezing cold. During the drift ice season, you will be amazed by the overwhelming beauty of the Okhotsk Sea covered in drift ice, and the silvery white Shiretoko Mountains towering behind the cliffs. On this tour, you will have a high chance of encountering wild animals such as Ezo deer and Ezo red foxes, so you can enjoy the winter nature of Shiretoko to the fullest. *Due to the lack of sufficient snowfall from early to late December and late March, there is a high possibility that you will be guided in boots instead of snowshoes.
