In this experience, you can observe it up close and learn about lacquerware production. The staff will give you easy-to-understand instructions. Next, you will make your own original flower vase using the wood turning wheel and plane that the craftsmen actually use. You can experience full-fledged wood sawing through making single flower vase. Most of the shapes are carved by yourself, so it's a little bit difficult, but it's fun! ! ! A friendly wood craftsman will teach you carefully, so you can make it yourself until the final completion. You will be satisfied. It is fun. This course includes a workshop tour (with explanation) - making a vase - lacquerware experience at the cafe (one drink included). Lacquerware craftsmen work here every day. In this experience, you can observe them up close and learn about lacquerware production. The staff will explain it in an easy-to-understand way. Next, you will make your own original lacquered chopsticks at the place where the craftsmen actually work. Think about the design of the chopsticks and paint them with real lacquer. You can experience authentic lacquer painting. The lacquer craftsmen will teach you carefully, so you can make them yourself until they are completed. You will surely be satisfied. It's fun. After that, you can enjoy drinks made with lacquerware at the cafe and taste sweets. Please relax and enjoy the lacquerware experience. The craftsmen who make onigawara and decorative tiles by hand are called "onishi", and it is a valuable experience to be able to see the craftsmanship of the onishi, who know the soil. Tatsumi Co., Ltd., which you will visit on this plan, has five onigawara. The factory tour is a private plan limited to one group per time. With the guidance of the potter's president, Okitsu Yusuke, you will observe the tile manufacturing process and the techniques used by the onigawara craftsmen to make the onigawara tiles. You will also be able to talk to the onigawara craftsmen, who will be happy to answer any questions you may have. Afterwards, in the exhibition area, valuable pieces made during the Azuchi-Momoyama period are on display, giving you a glimpse into the evolution of this traditional craft that has continued for 400 years. This is an experience program that includes a chartered bus tour of Sendai Station to visit earthquake-related facilities. The tour will take you on a bus tour of the Sendai Bay coast from Arai to Arahama to Sendai New Port, and will visit the current Sendai Bay coastline, nine years after the disaster.
