The Chichibu Night Festival is one of Japan's three major float festivals and was registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2017. Why not take part in this festival yourself? Pulling a float with locals will be a truly memorable experience. Join in the cheers of "Wasshoi!" as you pull the heavy floats, weighing several tons! You'll also receive a gift of hand towels and work gloves to wear on the day. After your float-pulling experience, you'll have time to interact with local festival participants. You'll learn about the meaning and history of the festival for the locals, as well as the family aspects of festivals, creating a unique experience. Afterward, your guide will take you to Chichibu's tourist spots and festival-related locations! You'll learn why the people of Chichibu love festivals so much and how they have passed down their history. As the sun sets, the floats you're pulling are transformed into a kabuki stage! Unlike professional kabuki performances, you'll enjoy a special seating area where local actors perform a local play. This kabuki performance will be accompanied by an audio guide, allowing you to fully understand the content.
