The Chichibu Night Festival, which has a history of over 300 years, is a designated important folk cultural asset of the country and a UNESCO intangible cultural heritage. The local people have enjoyed and protected this historic Chichibu Night Festival. There are six floats that attract a lot of attention at the festival, so why not join the locals in pulling them? The floats, built in the 1700s, are said to weigh several tons, and everyone joins forces to pull them through the town of Chichibu. The shout is "Wasshoi!" After the float pulling is over, we will show you a deep place that only locals know and is not even a tourist spot! After that, enjoy alcohol and Chichibu gourmet food as a banquet experience with the festival people. It's no problem if you can't drink alcohol. Be sure to ask how the people of Chichibu welcome the festival and what the meaning of the festival is! A special experience that can only be had here in Chichibu!

Participate in one of Japan's most famous festivals

This float was completed in the 1700s. At that time, Chichibu was a major producer of silk, which was exported not only to Japan but also to Europe and other countries, and the Chichibu Night Festival was the day for the biggest trade deals. Merchants wanted to make this float more luxurious than anywhere else in order to make their deals successful, so they used a lot of gold leaf, which sparkles and shines in the sunlight. You can take part in this historic float with the locals! You will receive an original festival hand towel wrapped around your head and gloves as a gift!!

You can become part of Chichibu by being introduced to places only locals know about and experiencing a banquet!

After pulling the float, we will take you to a special place! There, we will show you a small shrine loved by the locals and a building where geisha used to work!! Then, enjoy conversation with the locals over drinks and Chichibu gourmet food!! A special experience is sure to await you.
