It is an experience of making moss balls in the Karasuma area of Kyoto. It will be held at our flower shop in front of Kyoto Gyoen National Garden. (In the case of a group, move to a nearby facility) It is popular with both men and women from elementary school age and above. You can easily do it by kneading the soil, rolling it, and adding moss! No scissors are used, so anyone can use it. The moss balls that give you a feeling of "Japanese" that is typical of Kyoto are excellent for healing.
Great activity to take while you are in Kyoto. It was held in a cozy local florist's shop. It takes about 30 minutes and the guide was really good to take me slowly through the different steps of making a really nice kokedama ball and I was able to pick a plant of couple of options. Eventually she also have me some tips on how to make and care for kokedama at home. I recommend this activity to anyone staying in Kyoto that want to learn this art.

You will experience the traditional culture of flower arrangement in a Kyoto townhouse. After learning the basics, you are free to arrange the flowers as you like. After that, you will eat a Kyoto kaiseki bento lunch while looking at the flowers you have arranged with the head of the school. Children from kindergarten age can experience this. All flower arrangement tools, such as scissors, will be provided here.
