You will experience the traditional culture of flower arrangement in a Kyoto townhouse. After learning the basics, you are free to arrange the flowers as you like. At Yokoyama Bamboo Store, established in Kyoto, who sells products using bamboo and constructs bamboo for building, you can experience traditional craft making using bamboo. In this plan, you will make your favorite "bamboo basket" out of 3 types.
A gorgeous little bamboo basket weaving workshop. I had the earliest morning slot and ended up being the only participant. I have to admit I was in a bit of a hurry and have a lot of birch bark basket weaving experience so ended up weaving up my basket in under 15 min and then dashing to the teachers surprise but we had a lot of fun in that short time and the basket I made turned out gorgeous.
