~We live by receiving life. Let's learn from chickens, the meaning of "Itadakimasu" ~ [Event content] This is a workshop to dissect a live chicken and turn it into meat. Each person will dissect one chicken. (Staff will support children) Meat is eating the meat of a living animal. The meat we eat every day is originally a living creature. It's a common thing, but in today's world where eating meat is a given, the concept that meat = life tends to become weak. By dissect it with your own hands, you can learn about the process of turning a living creature into meat. As a way to educate children about food and as a stepping stone for those aiming to obtain a hunting license, you will dissect and cook while thinking about "life". For lunch, we will cook fresh eggs from a poultry farmer that morning. *Due to the Food Sanitation Act, we will ask for some help with cooking. ~~ ...The meeting place is a 1-minute walk from the meeting place. After a tour of the facilities, we will introduce ourselves and the lesson will begin. The talk will cover topics such as the chickens whose lives will soon be taken and rural life in the local Akiruno Akigawa Valley. There will be a Q&A session and discussion among participants. 12:30~ Lunch. The lunch will use eggs laid that morning at the chicken farm where the chickens to be slaughtered on the day were sourced, and in accordance with the Food Sanitation Act, we will ask for your help with some of the work. 13:30~ Chicken slaughter and butchering. The meat will be cooked and you will be able to take it home. 16:30~ Clean up, share impressions, group photos, etc. 17:00~ End and disband. *The event will end at the venue. 12-minute walk to the station ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [Targeted for the following people] ・People who want to experience countryside fun in Tokyo ・People interested in moving to Akiruno City and living in two places ・People interested in hunting/game meat ・People who want to know more about hunting and hunting associations ・People interested in the hunting circle "trap sharing" ・People who want to think about food education (eating meat)

Try making homemade pizza using seasonal vegetables! First, you will have the experience of harvesting seasonal vegetables! This is a harvesting experience for seasonal vegetables, including super sweet and delicious cherry tomatoes (late June to September), asparagus (mid-May to June), corn (early to mid-August), and more. These are vegetables that you usually only see lined up in supermarkets. But how do they grow in the fields? Vegetables that are in season in the fields are, of course, very fresh. What are the characteristics of fresh vegetables? What's more, you will use those vegetables to cook pizza outdoors! Whether it's an awkward pizza or a thick pizza that wasn't stretched properly, the pizza you made with all your effort is delicious. Top it with delicious vegetables and the fresh air of Furano! Now all that's left is to see if it will bake well in the pizza oven!
