Hinohara Village is the only village on land in Tokyo. Deep inside the village, on a ridge well over 700m above sea level, lies the old house "Kyu Kobayashi Family Residence". Built in the mid-Edo period (more than 320 years ago), this mountain house is literally an "old house in the sky". This tour, which takes you there by mountain monorail that goes straight up a super steep slope of nearly 45 degrees, is an extremely extraordinary experience that will leave a deep impression on your memory, both geographically and historically, as well as physically. The tour meets at the Tokyo Back Mountain Base in front of JR Musashi-Itsukaichi Station, and includes transportation to the site by private car. *Hinohara Village has been designated as a national ecotourism promotion area, and as an exception, transportation to the ecotour site by car is permitted. After the training, you can also communicate with the active wrestlers through the guide, and we will answer questions until your questions are resolved. Unlike training observations where you just watch the training and then it's over, we will have a guide specialized in sumo accompanying you and guiding you to the end. ~How it works~① Contact us the day before the day to let us know the location of the sumo stable you will be visiting, the meeting time, and important points.② On the day of the observation, meet at the entrance to the sumo stable. *Please be punctual.③ Observe the training for about 40 minutes to 1 hour (the observation time will vary depending on the training content and the physical condition of the wrestlers).④ During the observation, questions will be answered by writing with the English interpreter guide.⑤ After the training, take a commemorative photo with the wrestlers and answer questions in front of the entrance.⑥ Disband in front of the entrance to the sumo stable. *Please be sure to read the "Important points" and "Special notes" at the bottom of this page, and apply only if you agree.
