Even during busy periods such as summer vacation and autumn holidays, you can experience the tranquility of Shiretoko here. This course passes through old development sites and forests to see the groundwater waterfalls that flow into the Sea of Okhotsk. On clear days, you can see the 200m high cliffs that stretch all the way to Cape Shiretoko. Like "Furepe Falls," this is a course to see cliff waterfalls, but this one is a bit wilder, with no walking trails and requiring climbing over logs. This is a 2km walk to see the unusual "Furepe Falls", a waterfall that falls directly into the sea from a cliff gap. On clear days, the Shiretoko mountain range is beautiful here. You can also see how the Shiretoko 100 Square Meter Movement is restoring the former development site to forest. It is often possible to see Ezo deer and wild birds here. The trail may be closed due to brown bears, snowfall, storms, etc. If we know of a closure in advance, we will contact you by mobile phone and offer you cancellation (free of charge) or an alternative course (same price), or a different date and time, if you wish. If the trail is closed after you meet at the site, we will offer you an alternative course (same price) that is available for the remaining time.
