【Kushiro Wetland Canoe Private Tour Lake Toruji ~ Hosooka Course (Duration: about 120 minutes)】 ■ Enjoy the Kushiro Marshland with a private canoe tour! From the largest lake in Kushiro Wetland, go through the Akinawa River, a tributary of the Kushiro River, from Toroji Lake to the Kushiro River. Leave yourself in a slow flow, to the heart of the Kushiro Wetland. Why do not you experience birds singing and whispering of the wind in the middle of nature? Sometimes Ezoshima and Red crown may show us your face. Come and join us! The area around Toroji is a natural rich area even in Kushiro Marsh. The Salvo Observatory, about 1 km from Toroji Station, has panoramic view of Lake Toruji and other lakes and squares, and at the entrance of Kotaro Marsh, there is a Nihonmatsu Observation Area where you can see the Kushiro River and Kushiro Wetland and the Kushiro city area. In addition, there are plenty of places of interest such as Kotaro Marshland Observation Deck. Why do not you take a short walk on foot or by bicycle by all means. Anyway, it is best to look slowly and feel the five senses slowly as time permits.

This course runs through the Kushiro Wetlands, and starts from Hosooka Station on a wide, calm river, all the way to Iwahoki Sluice Gate, where you can feel the wind blowing through the wetlands as you leisurely descend. Basically, you won't get wet, so it's okay if you come in clothes that are suitable for the climate and easy to move in. *This is a short course.

11月の体験で寒いのを覚悟してましたが、太陽がでてきて過ごしやすいツアーになりました。 地元出身のガイドさんが湿原のこと、魚や自然動物のことをわかりやすく教えてくれてカヌーに乗ること同様にすごい楽しかったです。 今回は残念ながら、めずらしい自然動物に会うことができなかったのでまた機会があれば雪の季節などに体験できたらいいなと思います。 80分の体験も十分楽しかったですが、もっと長い時間の体験もしてみたいと思いました。 ありがとうございました。

This course takes you all around the Kushiro Marsh, the 28th national park established and the largest naturally rich low-lying marsh in Japan with the largest horizontal extent. View the Kushiro Marsh from the eastern (western) observation deck, then walk along an unpaved road to the western (eastern) observation deck. If you are confident in your time and stamina, there are also some places you can walk (or climb?) to see, such as the Kottaro Marsh Observation Deck, Sarubo Observation Deck, and Yumegaoka Observation Deck. Along the way, you might encounter red-crowned cranes, Ezo deer, or Ezo red foxes (which appear irregularly).

From Hosooka Observatory (east side), you can see the Kushiro Marsh and the meandering Kushiro River in the Kushiro Marsh, the 28th national park and the largest naturally rich low-lying marsh in Japan with a horizontal spread. The view from Hosooka Observatory, also known as the "Great View," is spectacular, and on a clear day you can see the Akan Mountains. Watching the sunset from Hosooka Observatory has also become popular recently. The untouched Hosooka Observatory is an observation deck that cannot be reached by large tourist buses. There is also a course that combines the Norokko train ride, where you can ride one way through the marsh from Kushiro city to Hosooka Observatory to Kushiro city, and then take a taxi back to see the Kushiro Marsh from a different angle.

Explore the Wakoto Peninsula of Lake Kussharo by canoe! Rocking along on the clear emerald green water, you will feel an indescribable sense of oneness with nature. On a calm day, you can explore the tip of the peninsula and head for Oyakotsu Jigoku, a hidden hot spring that can only be reached by water!
