Hokkaido in Canoe

It is a canoeing experience on the Arekinai River, a tributary that flows through the Kushiro Marsh. The meeting place is JR Senmo Line, in front of Toro Station. The course starts from a lake called Lake Toro, goes to the Arekinai River, goes to the main stream of the Kushiro River, goes up the Arekinai River by canoe, and returns to Lake Toro. Because it is a calm river, you can go up the river, and even those who are new to canoeing can experience it with peace of mind. The river does not freeze even in winter, so you can experience canoeing throughout the year. The scenery that changes according to the season, and the Yezo deer, white-tailed eagles, and red-crowned cranes that you can meet if your timing and luck are good are also highlights. Of course, the guide will ride with you, so please leave the operation of the canoe to us. You can also do a half-day course combined with an observation deck tour! 〜Flow of the experience〜 (For the 7:00 course) 7:00 Meet in front of JR Senmo Line Toro Station Please be at Toro Station at the start time of the tour. After meeting, go to the toilet at Toro Station and move to the starting point, Lake Toro. 7:10 Reception at Lake Toro, luggage guidance, safety talk reception, luggage guidance, safety explanation for canoeing. 7:30 Departure! When you're ready, let's go! If you wish, we will also take a commemorative photo here during the experience. 8:30 Goal! Since it is a round trip, the goal is Lake Toro, which is the same as the starting point. Once you get off the canoe, you will be disbanded after taking pictures.

It is a canoe experience of about 9 kilometers on the Kushiro River, which flows through the Kushiro Marsh. The meeting place is JR Senmo Line, Hosooka Station. This course starts from Lake Toro and goes down to Hosooka Canoe Port. As the name of the plan suggests, it is a place with a lot of trees even in the wetlands, and it is a course with the most wild animals. It is surrounded by deep green in spring, green in summer, and colored leaves in autumn. Of course, the guide will ride with you, so please leave the operation of the canoe to us. We also have a Kushiro Wetland long course of about 17 km that combines the forest course and the wilderness course! ~Experience Flow~ (For the 8:00 course) 8:00 Gather in front of Hosooka Station on the JR Senmo Line Please be at Hosooka Station at the start time of the tour. (If you are late, please contact us.) When we gather, we will park your car at the nearby Hosooka Canoe Port and drive to Toro Station. (Reception will be done inside the train) 8:20 Arrive at JR Senmo Line Toro Station When you arrive at Toro Station, go to the toilet and move to the starting point, Lake Toro. 8:40 Canoe preparation, safety talk When you arrive at Lake Toro, prepare for canoeing and give a safety explanation for canoeing. 8:50 Departure! When you're ready, let's go! If you wish, we will also take a commemorative photo here during the experience. 10:20 Arrival at Hosooka Canoe Port! Canoe experience for about 1 hour and a half. Lake Poroto is a place where people have lived together as part of nature since ancient times. Although it is a small lake with a circumference of about 4 kilometers, it is a very rich lake packed with waterside nature such as forests, marshes, sand, swamps, and rivers. Take a leisurely canoe ride around Lake Poroto while listening to all about its nature, culture, and history! This is the plan. Lake Poroto is rich in nutrients brought from the mountains, and is home to many birds, fish, and animals, or where they visit in search of food. The scenery also changes drastically with each season, with skunk cabbage in spring, water lilies in summer, autumn leaves, and snow-covered snow in winter, so visitors never get bored. For those who want to leave the navigation to the guide and enjoy the lake at their own pace, we have not only Canadian canoes, but also air canoes with double paddles for those who want to paddle themselves! [Chitose River Cruise] It's about a 20-minute drive from New Chitose Airport, and you'll be surprised to see such rich nature in such a place... The Chitose River makes you think so. You'll go down with a guide while watching the fish peeking out of the crystal clear water and the small birds flying through the trees. We'll talk about a lot of things, such as Hokkaido's wildlife and vegetation, Ainu culture, and the history of development, while enjoying the breeze of nature. [Short course only available in winter] Chitose in winter is below freezing even during the day! It's extremely cold, but there are many beauties that can only be seen in such a harsh environment. The course is a canoe tour of about 2.5 kilometers from under the highway overpass that runs through the town of Chitose to the area near the Chitose City Sports Center! The snowy scenery spreads out on the riverbank with a good view, and wild deer gather along the quiet river, and you can see salmon running upstream, which is becoming a symbol of the Chitose River, until around February! The experience lasts 30 to 40 minutes, and it takes about an hour from meeting to disbanding. *The tour may vary depending on the weather and river conditions on the day. *Most tours are conducted below freezing, so please take proper cold weather precautions. *Safety is our number one priority, so the tour may be canceled due to weather or other reasons.
