Plan description

It is a canoeing experience on the Arekinai River, a tributary that flows through the Kushiro Marsh. The meeting place is JR Senmo Line, in front of Toro Station. The course starts from a lake called Lake Toro, goes to the Arekinai River, goes to the main stream of the Kushiro River, goes up the Arekinai River by canoe, and returns to Lake Toro. Because it is a calm river, you can go up the river, and even those who are new to canoeing can experience it with peace of mind. The river does not freeze even in winter, so you can experience canoeing throughout the year. The scenery that changes according to the season, and the Yezo deer, white-tailed eagles, and red-crowned cranes that you can meet if your timing and luck are good are also highlights. Of course, the guide will ride with you, so please leave the operation of the canoe to us. The river is so calm that when you ride a canoe, you may think that the river is standing still. On days when the wind is calm, the surface of the river reflects the sky and surroundings like a mirror. There are few artificial objects, so you can enjoy the canoeing experience for about an hour while listening to the voices of wild birds and the sounds of nature.

It is a tributary that is easy to observe Yezo deer and wild birds!

The width of the Arekinai River is about 15 meters at its widest point. If you come out at the right time, you can see wild animals closer. Of course, it is basic to keep a distance and pass quietly so as not to stress the wild animals. Let's enjoy nature while looking for animals together!
