[Conditions for participation] To ensure safety, all participants must be able to speak either Japanese or English. ● Beginners can enjoy this luxurious tour with peace of mind: Sea kayak to offshore snorkeling spots and play with Izu's tropical fish. Enjoy this experience with your family, friends, couples, or groups! Located on Sotoura Beach, the quietest beach in Shimoda, Izu Peninsula Geopark, this tour allows you to experience both sea kayaking and snorkeling with the emerald green ocean right in front of you. ● This tour, the first of its kind in Japan, is divided into two sessions, morning and afternoon, ensuring a satisfying half-day experience for all participants. Our school is headed by Junji Nagaoke, the first Japanese person to obtain ACA (American Canoe Association) certified instructor status in 2000. It is a fully-fledged, hands-on school that offers safe and enjoyable tours for beginners. ●The kayaks used are manufactured by Viking Kayaks, which boast the highest quality standards in the world, and are currently the only kayaks made in Japan. Basically, the kayaks seat three people, with one child in the lower grades of elementary school and two adults. For older elementary school students, two people can ride with one adult. Two adults can ride together.

Elementary school students and above can enjoy both sea kayaking and snorkeling!

This plan allows anyone in elementary school or older who is healthy to enjoy kayaking and snorkeling together. ♪♪ Launch your kayak from in front of the clubhouse at Shimoda Sotoura Beach, enjoy snorkeling at the emerald-colored rocky shore, play with crabs, and take photos from the perfect spot! Snorkeling at Izu Peninsula Geopark!

Shimoda Sotoura Beach is truly part of the Izu Peninsula Geopark! Scattered offshore are numerous small islands, with no man-made structures. These islands act as natural breakwaters, making it the only quiet, wave-free beach. Once you reach the spot by sea kayak, you can disembark and enjoy snorkeling. Colorful tropical fish will be waiting to greet you there.

Founded in 2000 by Junji Nagaoke, an ACA (American Canoe Association) certified instructor.

ACA (American Canoe Association) is an American association with a history of 1880. Here, the first Japanese certified instructor will guide you. Even now, he is a professional instructor with only a few people in Japan. Strict, highly trained and certified instructors strive for safety and security, and hold tours that satisfy all participants.
