After arriving at the fishing spot, we will first fish for Gurkun, the prefectural fish of Okinawa Prefecture. Gurkun are caught using a device called "sabiki." There are many small hooks attached to the bottom of a basket, and krill bait is placed inside this basket and dropped into the sea. When you jerk the rod to scatter the bait, a school of Gurkun will come near. The Gurkun, attracted by the bait, will bite the hooks scattered along with the krill, and you can catch them. Even beginners can easily fish here! Don't worry, the captain will give you an easy-to-understand lecture!

Once you've caught a good number of gurkun, it's time to aim for a big one! The fishing method is very simple: put the gurkun you caught on a large hook and drop it into the sea. Reel it in a few times from the seabed and then just wait. When a big one gets close, the gurkun will start to thrash around. The vibrations will be transmitted to the rod. When the rod bends all at once, it's a sign that a big one has eaten the gurkun! Hook it (set the hook) and then just reel it in! It's sure to be an exciting moment.

We have partnered with a traditional Japanese izakaya restaurant in Misaki Town, where islanders gather, so you can have the fish you catch cooked and eaten! If you would like this service, please let the captain know on the day! Depending on the reservation situation, we may not be able to accommodate you, in which case we can deliver the fish to your home! *Shipping costs are the customer's responsibility. *If you choose to have the izakaya restaurant cook the fish you catch, a cooking fee (market price) will be charged.
