Why not try making your own horse ornament using mizuhiki, in keeping with the zodiac sign of 2026? This workshop is aimed at those who can tie the Awaji knot and the hugging Awaji knot. You will create the horse's head and body using the slightly more complicated hair ornament knot. The head alone can also be used as a stick horse ornament. It will be finished with a metal rod, so if you place it in a flower pot or vase with some flowers, it will create a New Year's decoration. You can also use it to make a reindeer, which can be used as a Christmas decoration!

Handmade entrance decoration for New Year

Add an arrangement to the Awaji knot to make a pine, bamboo, plum and rabbit decoration, and attach it to the shimenawa.

You can choose Japanese or English!

This course is for people who can tie the Awaji knot and the hugging Awaji knot (four-handed Awaji knot).
