This approximately 5-hour cycling tour explores the sea and mountains of Yanbaru in northern Okinawa on a comfortable, electrically-assisted e-bike. We'll check you in on how to operate the electric-assisted e-bike and check you're equipped with safety equipment, so even first-time riders can set off with confidence. ② Tour Start ~ Coastal Course (Ogimi Village, Yuinohama area) With the blue East China Sea on your left, ride your e-bike along roads surrounded by the Yanbaru mountains. Ride along quaint coastlines and narrow roads that are difficult to access by car. ③ Hentona Village (Ogimi Village, Hentona area) Pass through a local settlement area where traditional houses remain. Experience Okinawa's everyday scenery and quiet town atmosphere as you ride. ④ Spectacular West Coast Viewpoint (Ogimi, Ogimi Village) Enjoy a panoramic view of the west coast from a slightly elevated vantage point. This photo spot offers a beautiful contrast between the ocean and the mountains. ⑤ Take a break at OKINAWA CACAO (Tsunami, Ogimi Village) Sample sweets and drinks made with Okinawan cacao. Relax and enjoy handmade chocolates and seasonal limited edition products. ⑥ Visit the Yanbaru Sake Brewery Direct Sales Store (Tsunami, Ogimi Village) Learn about the manufacturing process and local alcohol culture at this direct sales store selling Okinawa's traditional sake, including awamori. Enjoy tastings and shopping. ⑦ Kawacha Bridge (Kijoka, Ogimi Village) Take a break on a bridge overlooking the clear waters of the Tagari River and the Yanbaru forest. Your guide will explain the changing nature and wildlife with each season. ⑧ Kijoka's Seven Waterfalls (Kijoka, Ogimi Village) Stroll through the seven-tiered waterfalls nestled deep in the forest. Former Ogimi Village Office (near Okaneku, Ogimi Village): See the exterior of this retro building, a nationally designated Important Cultural Property. A guide will explain Okinawa's modern architecture and history. 10. Roadside Station Ogimi Yanbaru Forest Visitor Center (near Kochi, Ogimi Village): Explore the exhibition area showcasing Yanbaru's nature, flora, and fauna. There are also plenty of places to shop for local specialties and rest. 11. Ogimi Shikwasa Park (near Tsunami, Ogimi Village): This facility is themed around Ogimi's specialty, Shikwasa, and Okinawan citrus fruits. Enjoy a factory tour and tasting. Enjoy the refreshing taste and souvenir shopping. 12. Finish Line: Bicycle Return/Disband (near Sumai Demaeda, Nago City): Return to the SUMUIDE TERRACE SHIDO Minpaku (private lodging), return the e-bike, and the tour concludes. Afterwards, feel free to enjoy sightseeing around Yanbaru and Nago City.
