Kishi Station is the terminus of the Wakayama Electric Railway's Kishigawa Line, famous for having a cat stationmaster. She was originally kept at the Kishi Station shop, but in 2007 she was officially appointed stationmaster, and was featured in the news. Nanki Shirahama is a seaside town in the southern part of Wakayama Prefecture. As the name suggests, it is a tourist destination with Shirarahama, a famous white sand beach.
