Plan description

The Ishigaki Pottery Workshop is a popular pottery workshop on Ishigaki Island that anyone, from small children to adults, can enjoy empty-handed. The "Ishigaki Pottery Workshop" allows you to create sea-colored pottery, imbuing your work with memories of the ocean before your eyes. For group reservations (15 or more people), we also offer courses such as the Seasa Course, which includes the firing fee for 1kg of clay per piece. Please feel free to contact us. After your creation is fired, it will be mailed to your home via Yu-Pack cash-on-delivery. For overseas shipping, an additional shipping fee will be charged via EMS (Express Mail Service).

Ishigaki Blue captures the ocean of Ishigaki

The unique technique of Ishigaki ware is what creates this Ishigaki blue. The charm of Ishigaki ware lies in the gentle gradation and depth of color, which are produced without using colored glass or pigments.

Yuteki Tenmoku ware is said to have been loved by tea masters of the past.

Yuteki Tenmoku is a pattern of silver droplets shining on a black background. It is reminiscent of the starry sky. The silver crystal pattern appears as if it were finely scattered. It is coated with a glaze called iron glaze, which contains iron, and is a firing method that causes the silver speckled pattern (iron crystals) to appear during firing.
