Plan description

This plan allows you to experience cooking in a traditional Japanese hearth and experience life in the past at Kamado no Ouchi, a studio that recreates the kitchen of an ordinary home in urban Tokyo during the Taisho era. [Contents] ① Try coordinating your kitchen in a simple yet functional kimono! (Dressing support provided) ② Cook rice in a kamado pot and make rice balls! ③ Try shaving dried bonito flakes and savor the dashi broth made from kelp, bonito, and dried sardines! (Make miso soup) ④ Try eating tsukudani made from dashi stock! ⑤ Learn the secrets of old kitchens and try using cooking utensils! [Target age] 6 years and older (Observations are possible for ages 0 and up) *Photos and videos are allowed! [Maximum capacity] 5 people [Minimum number of participants] 2 people [Participation fee] ●¥11,000 (tax included) / person

Immerse yourself in the world of 100 years ago with a set that thoroughly recreates the experience!

It's like a set for a morning drama! You'll feel like you've traveled back in time to Japan 100 years ago and are peering into someone's home ♪ Chestnut wood floors, a tiled hearth, plaster walls... the interior has been meticulously recreated based on historical documents and literature, and is filled with the wisdom of people from long ago. In a museum, you can only look at it from afar... but at "Kamado no Ouchi" you can touch as much as you want. Touch, use, and experience life in the past with all your senses.

I'll try cooking the old, inconvenient way

Cooking rice in a kamado, shaving dried bonito flakes to make dashi stock, cooking tsukudani on a charcoal grill... "Kamado no Ouchi" is filled with many cooking implements that have disappeared from modern kitchens! It may seem inconvenient, but it's fun to try them out. By putting them into practice, you can see how people in the past approached their daily meals. So, can you cook rice without using electricity or gas?

Enjoy an old-fashioned kitchen look that's a little different from modern kimonos.

Kimonos are simple yet comfortable to wear. Choose your favorite one, add an apron and a sash, and you'll have a complete kitchen outfit in no time! This outfit, worn every day by people in the past, actually has many secrets. You might become addicted to this cute and functional fashion ♪
