Yamaken Mokkojo is the only factory in the production area of Echizen cutlery that specializes in manufacturing kitchen knife handles. Even if you use a good kitchen knife, the handle that you hold directly is an important part. With such a handle as a starting point, we will tour the factories that make the handle and the blade. Finally, it is an experience to make your own kitchen knife from a number of repertoires.
In the warehouse next to the factory, you can see various types of wood! There may be things you can find only in the warehouse of a factory that handles wooden products, such as precious wood procured not only from Japan but also from overseas.
It is also unique to this experience that you can directly see the production of the handle and blade necessary to make a kitchen knife in the workshop. While being guided by a craftsman, you can spend a luxurious time touching the depth of craftsmanship.
Choose your favorite pattern from about 30 patterns. The type of wood, color, design, grain, etc., each have a different atmosphere, so you may be wondering which one to choose. Such a lost time is also one of the pleasures.
