Plan description

A trekking tour to Mayagusk Falls. After boarding the Urauchi River sightseeing boat on Iriomote Island, we will guide you to Mayagusk Waterfall. This tour is for those who are junior high school students or older and under 70 years old who have physical strength and are accustomed to the mountains. It is a hard trekking course of about two and a half to three hours one way, but it is a tour where you can fully enjoy the jungle and magnificent waterfalls of Iriomote Island. A guide who has toured many times to Mayagsk Falls will guide you. If it is difficult to reach Mayagsk Falls due to physical strength or time, you can change to another tour. Guide to Mayagusk Waterfall, an unexplored region of Iriomote Island!

To the magnificent Mayagsk waterfall!

Since it is located in the center of Iriomote Island, we will guide you to the Mayagsk Waterfall, which is also called the navel of Iriomote Island. In this dialect, it means Maya = cat and Gusuku = castle (wildcat castle), and it is a very magnificent and powerful waterfall that lives up to its name. Since it is located in the inner part of the jungle of Iriomote Island, it will be a hard trek, but the impression when you arrive at the waterfall is immeasurable. It is also the guide's favorite field and the name of this shop is taken from this waterfall.

Hard trekking!

It takes two and a half to three hours one way to reach Mayagusk Waterfall. There are more rough roads than other trekking tour courses, and there is a time limit as you have to take the first departure of the tour boat (9:00 departure) and the last flight of 16:00 departure. The tour content will be harder than other tours because you have to go on rough roads at a high pace.
