This fantastical and romantic firefly light show can only be seen on Ishigaki Island for a few minutes after sunset from March to May. When the weather is good, you can see a starry sky. Small children can also participate without worry. Our guides have 15 years of experience, so you can be sure they are safe and secure.

What kind of tour is a firefly tour?

The male dances in the air, giving off a very beautiful light for courtship. Females are waiting for males all the time on the ground without flying (laughs) as if they were deciding what to do with males. If you look around, you can see the world of firefly dance all over! You can experience the excitement that cannot be expressed in words and the sense of unity with fireflies! (^^)! In addition to Yaeyama Hime fireflies, you may also see other fireflies such as Iriomoto fireflies and Oshimamado fireflies.

What can you see other than fireflies?

Our firefly tours are mainly about observing the dancing fireflies, but on the way, if it's a clear day, you can also see a starry sky. You can also often see owls (a type of owl), Yaeyama flying foxes, frogs, and other nocturnal animals. Even if you can't see the owls, you can often hear their calls. You can participate with peace of mind because we won't go to places where there are many dangerous creatures such as vipers. Please enjoy the night nature of Ishigaki Island to your heart's content before heading back home.
