Plan description

When visiting for the first time in Yanbare no Mori, it is recommended to go out for a walk in the forest with an interpreter (a natural commentator).
We will show you the various changes of the seasons, the ecology of animals and plants, the relationships of people living locally with nature, and other interesting episodes.
From the three nature trails (nature walkway), you can choose the course that matches your physical fitness and interests / interests while consulting with the interpreter.
The journey time is 2 hours.

Yamashishikose

After the war, a 1km-long natural walk was made by reusing alleys along the ridges from which wood and firewood were delivered during the reconstruction period. The highlight is the hierarchical structure of the Yanbaru forest, which is visible from the canopy terrace for observation of 17 m tall trees, and the communities of tree ferns (Chlohego) grown nicely under a suspension bridge over a small stream. The end of the course, Attaby Pond, is a small pond in the middle of a forest, but it's a great place to observe the connections between tadpoles and other living beings.

Yonna course

A wide natural walking path with a total length of 650 m of universal design. It is possible to use it with a wheelchair with a gentle course throughout. Anyone can walk for peace of mind, such as elderly people and children. Inside the course, you can also observe various birds using the crown, including Ryukyu Karasubato and Noguchigera, and from Seizawa hears the Ishikawa frog and Horst frog cries. (Yonna - is the meaning of "slow" or "relaxed" in the Okinawa dialect)
