In April 2023, ANH Solutions Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the professional basketball club Akita Northern Happinets Co., Ltd., reopened the roadside station under the concept of Akita Umiyoko, Akita's lively seaside alley. The Umiyoko Shoten shop offers a wide selection of local souvenirs, seasonings, and daily necessities, aiming to make the roadside station accessible to both tourists and locals. The station also features the Umiyoko Direct Sales Store, which offers fresh vegetables from local farmers, the Umiyoko Shokudo restaurant, where you can sample local fish and Akita Yuri beef, the Iwaki Onsen Minato no Yu hot spring, where you can bathe while overlooking the Sea of Japan, and cottages and tent sites.
