Experience riding a local train through the mountainous areas of Akita. Aniai Station, the closest station to Moriyoshiyama Ani Ski Resort, is well-equipped with facilities such as the Kitaakita City Moriyoshiyama Welcome Station, which introduces Mt. Moriyoshi, the Satoyama restaurant and cafe Koguma-tei, a shop, and toilets. There are also many other attractive places, such as Ani-Maeda Onsen Station, which is home to hot springs with shuttle service if you get off along the way, the station building with its hot spring facility, Quince Moriyoshi, Lake Tazawa, the deepest lake in Japan, and Kakunodate, where the townscape from the samurai era remains, so one day may not be enough. There are only a few trains, so be sure to check for the next train when you get off!
