This is a trek that goes all around the Shiretoko Five Lakes designated as a special reserve of Shiretoko National Park, UNESCO's World Natural Heritage Area, including elevated wooden paths. This is Japan's first revolutionary Forest Adventure experience in which a licensed leader guides the area where brown bears live. In addition to the lake, you can observe seasonally changing nature, such as sika deer, red fox, wild birds, alpine plants, and autumn leaves. Because they are not fed, all creatures they encounter are real wildlife. Please contact us as it may be possible to respond to times that are not in the selection column.

Shiretoko is a peninsula surrounded by the sea. You can walk through a wonderful environment where you can feel the nature created by the mountains and the sea. The afternoon virgin forest walk is a private walk through the wilderness where you hardly meet any people. It is recommended for those who want to walk in a special place different from others, such as those who do not want to walk in the same place as other guided tours. Depending on the season, there are places where you can walk while pushing your way through tall vegetation. In the morning, everyone visits the Shiretoko Five Lakes. You can enjoy a leisurely walk for 3 hours. The nature guide will guide you through the Shiretoko ecosystem in an easy-to-understand manner on a course of about 3 km with few ups and downs. You can take a walk while feeling the powerful nature of Shiretoko while taking a peek at the lives of wild animals. The lake quietly nestled in the virgin forest is an attractive field. In the afternoon, it is a virgin forest trekking. You will walk through the virgin forest and aim for the Sea of Okhotsk. You can enjoy the magnificent view from the cliff coastline. A walk where you encounter many wild animals will give you a different kind of excitement than the Shiretoko Five Lakes. A nature guide who knows Shiretoko inside and out will show you the best scenic spots. This is the recommended course of the Shiretoko guided tour, where you can see, feel, and experience the great nature of Shiretoko from the animals' point of view. If you are staying at a hotel in Utoro, we will pick you up at the hotel. Why not enjoy the World Heritage Site with transportation included? . ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------*From May 10th to July 31st, the price will be 14,100 yen for adults and 8,700 yen for children. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------*The start time of the guided tour may change depending on the reservation frame for the Shiretoko Five Lakes lecture. Why do not you go out to Lake Rausu, the largest lake in the Shiretoko Peninsula? The area around Lake Rausu with an altitude of 600 to 700 m is an environment equivalent to 2000 to 2500 m in central Honshu. Stop by the large and small four swamps of different facial expressions, and aim for Lake Rausu while enjoying encounters with alpine plants and wetland plants. You can feel the richness of Shiretoko where diverse environments exist.

I will explore a 1 km one-way walk from Shiretoko Nature Center to the coastline. Walking through the secondary forest affected by the exploitation, you can see the majestic Shiretoko mountain from the natural grasslands, and from the observation deck you can see the Flepe waterfall flowing down from the cliff. Wild birds that can be observed for each environment, such as forested wild birds such as yellowfish, grassland birds such as white-faced red wild birds, sea birds such as sea bass, are different during walks. It is a short boardwalk, but the characteristic of Shiretoko is a promising walkway.
