At "Experience-based traditional Japanese inn Tabinosha," we offer you a mountain village experience that is unique to Shizuoka throughout the four seasons! Located in the northeastern part of Kakegawa City, one of the most popular tea-producing areas in Shizuoka, this area is loved by locals as the mountain of the tea characters, and the tea plantations spread across the large hills at the foot of Mt. Awagatake, which has been certified as a World Agricultural Heritage site, have been producing high-quality tea for over 150 years using the Chagusaba farming method. In this plan, you will enjoy a tea picking experience in the tea fields that the tea producers have painstakingly cultivated. The first tea is picked from late April to mid-May, the second tea is picked in June, and the fourth tea is picked from late September to early October, which are the tea seasons for the producers, so you can enjoy tea picking according to the season. You can also enjoy tea picking at other times of the year depending on the growth conditions of the tea leaves, so please ask us until around mid-November. Tea picking is not available from around November to mid-April because the tea leaves are not growing. Instead, we will take you to the tea fields to observe the "tea grass farming" method, a winter-only work, and from around March, you will enjoy picking wild vegetables that grow around the tea fields. For lunch, we will prepare dishes unique to tea-producing areas using the actual tea leaves you picked. You can enjoy them as ingredients in tempura, salads, vinegared dishes, and more. In addition, chameshi, which is made by mixing the picked raw leaves with boiled rice, is a special dish that allows you to enjoy the aroma of tea even more! Please give it a try!

Enjoy melon hunting at a tourist farm around Lake Hamana Kanzanji Onsen, a popular spot in Hamamatsu City. From children to adults, there is no doubt that you will be excited by the scenery of the greenhouse where melons are lined up! Choose your favorite one from the sweet melons grown in the greenhouse and harvest it for souvenirs. After the experience, you can enjoy a 1/2 cut size cold melon that is ready to eat in the shade of the farm. Farmers will also give you a lecture on how to choose delicious melons!
