At "Experience-based old private house inn Tabinosha", which was renovated from a 70-year-old old house and opened in 2017, we will guide you through the seasonal Shizuoka mountain village experience! In this plan, you can enjoy tea picking experience and BBQ using seasonal ingredients. Limited to 1 group per day♪ Tea picking experience and charcoal-grilled BBQ lunch in Kakegawa, one of Japan's leading green tea producing areas! For the tea picking experience, you can enjoy tea picking under the guidance of a local tea farmer in a tea plantation that is carefully nurtured by the Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System "Chagusaba Farming Method". For lunch, we have a BBQ that you can enjoy from the charcoal fire experience. *You can also add the "Goemon bath experience" as an option♪ Experience the scenery unique to Shizuoka and the satoyama experience in an old private house built 70 years ago. Enjoy your luxurious time.
Local tea farmers will teach you how to hand-pick tea leaves, so there is no need to worry even if you are a beginner. Focusing on the soft core buds, you can enjoy the hand-picking experience of tea leaves with one bud and two leaves (Isshin Sanyo) or 1 bud and three leaves (Isshin Sanyo). The tea picking season is usually from late April to early May for 1st tea, from early June to late June for 2nd tea, from late July to early August for 3rd tea, and from late September to early October for 4th tea. , The timing may vary depending on the climate of the year.

Time schedule
Gather at "Experience-based old private house inn Tabinosha"! The staff will inform you about the facility usage rules and precautions (However, this may change depending on the tea plantation experience.)
Move to the tea plantation (about 5 to 15 minutes) It's time for the tea picking experience. After being instructed by a tea farmer on hand-picking, try hand-picking tea leaves! (About 30 to 40 minutes) ↓You can also observe how tea farmers harvest tea leaves with machines. (Depending on the farmer's operating status, we may not be able to take a tour.) ↓After enjoying the tea picking, we will return to "Experience-based old private house inn Tabinoya" (about 5 to 15 minutes).
Cha no Sato BBQ lunch♪ You can try making a fire on a charcoal stove in the backyard and prepare the ingredients for the BBQ. Children can play tag on the back mountain, or go down to the stream to look for freshwater crabs.
fresh local ingredients Ingredients for the BBQ are fresh seasonal vegetables and meat that are locally harvested, and we recommend the sun-dried fish caught in the nearby sea! ! Enjoy a lively BBQ lunch.
