In winter, when everything is covered with snow, you can freely walk around in the forest, and you can also take a walk in the forest of giant trees that can only be reached during this time. A mountaineering guide certified by the Japan Mountain Guide Association will guide you through the winter forest in a fun and safe way. Take the guided shuttle car to the tour start point. 9:30 Tour start Start walking around Togakushi Forest Botanical Garden. First of all, a lecture on how to wear snowshoes and how to use poles. 11:00 A short break at Kagamiike The spectacular Kagamiike turns into a vast snowfield during the winter. Walk on the frozen pond and enjoy the panoramic view of the Togakushi mountain range. (Depending on the condition of the pond) 12:15 Togakushi soba lunch Lunch at a soba restaurant near the approach to Okusha. 13:30 Togakushi Okusha Cedar Avenue of Nikko The 400-year-old cedar avenue and Zuijinmon in snow are fantastic and refreshing. Then take a walk through the forest of giant trees. 15:30 Tour end The guide shuttle car will return to the meeting place and will be disbanded.
