A gigantic icicle will swallow you! Let's explore the artistic Shichijo Falls created by ice in Hokkaido in winter♪ The ice art is truly impressive♪ The icicles will cover the waterfall day by day. We are the only shop on-site, so we put safety and security first. The Hyoto Festival (one of the three major winter festivals in Hokkaido) will be held from mid-January to mid-February and will color Lake Shikotsu♪ You will be missing out if you don't come~ *Tour time schedule* ① Meet at the shop in the Lake Shikotsu shopping district. Fill out the consent form and make the payment. ② When you are ready, get in your own car or the shop's car if you are not, and head to the parking lot in front of the entrance to the waterfall. ③ If you are driving, leave your car in the parking lot and get in the shop's car. Drive to the entrance of the waterfall and proceed along the forest road ④ Put crampons (spikes) on your boots and go down to the bottom of the waterfall. On the way down, you will see the ice palace. When you get to the bottom, you can enjoy the magnificent view of nature along with the fine spray of the waterfall. Take a break and have tea together (if it is crowded below the waterfall, you may have tea in the space above). ⑤ Slowly return the way you came, and if you are using our car, you can disband at the shop. (If you are using a private car, you can also disband on-site.) ★Limited to Lake Shikotsu area businesses★ "Mizu no Uta" day trip hot spring bath ticket (15:00-19:00: 1,500 yen/person) If you would like to take a bath, please ask a staff member. [January to March] Snow trekking to the frozen waterfall called Hyobaku in Zao, Yamagata. Every winter, the entire huge waterfall freezes, creating a frozen waterfall about 30 meters high and several tens of meters wide. Its power cannot be conveyed in a photo. This area, which has long attracted ice climbing enthusiasts, is called the Ice Garden, and is a world of ice like in a movie. Step into the frozen world of Senninzawa Ice Garden in search of unknown spectacular views. On the way there, head downhill from the end of the lift at Zao Liza World Ski Resort. The end of the second lift is a field of frost-covered trees lined with large ice monsters. You can also enjoy viewing the frost-covered trees. Put on crampons from the end of the lift and trek for about an hour to Senninzawa Ice Garden. Rental snowshoes and other lightweight gear were introduced two seasons ago. Once you arrive, it's time for lunch while watching the frozen waterfall. The guide will provide hot water, so please bring a lunch such as instant noodles to warm you up. A tent-type toilet will also be set up during lunch, so you can use the restroom. You can hydrate without worrying about the toilet. After enjoying the mysterious world of ice, you will climb back up the steep slope and change into snowshoes. You can walk on the fluffy new snow, slide on your buttocks, and on the way back, you will walk down to the ski resort without using the lift. Those who are new to snow mountain climbing can participate, but you will need the stamina to walk for more than four hours on your own feet with a backpack on. There are some steep descents and ascents. *If the route to the ice waterfall cannot be safely walked due to field conditions, we may change to a walk around the area on snowshoes. <Equipment> Snowshoes: ATLAS Helium BC 23,26 (Innovative light and portable mountain snowshoes) Poles: Montbell Fall Line Poles (Lightweight backcountry poles) Light crampons: Montbell Snow Spikes 10 (Required for steep slopes up to the icefall) Helmet: Montbell Alpine Helmet (Wear when approaching the icefall. We will trek through the snowy mountains to see the impressive frozen waterfalls and the beautiful ice art that forms in caves, the ice stalagmites. This area of the Omine mountain range is a mountainous area with low temperatures, and in the coldest seasons, large waterfalls over 30 meters can freeze over. Depending on the conditions of the day, we will visit two or three frozen waterfalls and ice stalagmites. An experienced guide will accompany you and you will walk at a leisurely pace. No special mountaineering skills or experience are required, but you will need to be physically fit to walk about two hours up and one and a half hours down. This tour is also for people who have the right equipment for trekking and mountain climbing enthusiasts.

Trekking in the woods wearing snowshoes! Let's go to see the fantastic "waterfall of haze"! Walking time is about one hour round trip. Since the go traveling at your own pace, you can enjoy anyone without difficulty.
