"GEISHA BOY" is a geisha transformation experience plan supervised by Takafuji Ukon, the second generation of Takafuji School of Creative Japanese Dance, who is also active on the world stage as a female impersonator. Members of Asakusa Ukonya, a professional dance group led by Ukon, will transform you into a wonderful female impersonator. In addition to authentic costumes, we will help you create your own work, from the initial meeting to the photo shoot in a private space that requires a reservation. Of course, anyone can enjoy it regardless of gender or nationality! [Japanese dance just 20 minutes from Shinjuku] 16 minutes by express train on the Odakyu Line from Shinjuku Station, and a 1-minute walk from Seijo Gakuenmae Station. After changing into a yukata, you'll take a break with matcha green tea and Japanese sweets. Afterward, you'll learn etiquette and dance. You can choose from the following songs for the lesson: "Sakura Sakura," "Ue o Muite Arukou," and "First Love." If other participants are present, the lesson will be "Sakura Sakura." A group of four is recommended. For groups of five or more, please book two lessons consecutively. We will take turns teaching. Lessons will be conducted using a translator and my limited English. There is also a viewing area for those not participating. You can also experience the experience in your traditional clothes! Children under 5 are free.

*Due to the relocation of our store, we are currently not accepting reservations. Learn how to greet, walk, and behave from the head of the Shinkawa School of Japanese dance. Shinkawa School has a wide variety of dances, from classical Japanese dance to Kabuki dance and Bon Odori. Headmaster Shinkawa Ogio will provide careful instruction so that everyone from children and students to the elderly can enjoy the experience. Yukata rentals are available, so please change into one first. We will teach you how to tie an obi and how to wear a beautiful yukata. If you come to the store in Japanese clothing, you can participate in the event in your favorite clothes. We also have yukatas for men and children, so families are welcome to participate! We will practice the ancient Japanese popular song "Sakura Sakura" in the Shinkawa School style. After practice, all participants will dance through the whole song at the end. Enjoy dancing Japanese dance with your heart and discover a new you!

- Traditional Japanese Culture Experience - Experience traditional Japanese culture with all five senses while soaking up the streets of Nihonbashi. This cultural experience tour offers a special opportunity to immerse yourself deeply in the world of traditional culture. The first stop is Dengen Co., Ltd., a long-established kimono wholesaler in Nihonbashi Horidomecho, located a short walk down the alleys of Nihonbashi. Enjoy a special performance of traditional Japanese dance by Tachibana Sumizo, head of the Tachibana school. Experience the depth of traditional performing arts through the delicate movements using a fan and the graceful movements of the dance. Next, enjoy a Japanese cuisine experience using seasonal ingredients. While savoring the chef's meticulous handiwork and the colors of the seasons with all five senses, you will experience the Japanese spirit of hospitality and the aesthetics of food. After strolling around Nihonbashi, return to Dengen Co., Ltd., a long-established kimono wholesaler in Nihonbashi Horidomecho. After changing into a kimono or hakama, you will learn firsthand the movements of dance fans and sword fighting under the guidance of Sumizo. A professional photographer will capture the moment and provide you with a commemorative file. The tour concludes with a tea ceremony or ohayashi experience. Experience the art of making tea and feel the spirit of "Wa Kei Sei Jaku" while enjoying a peaceful time away from the hustle and bustle of Nihonbashi. Her concept is to promote the Japanese spirit of harmony and hospitality through the dance and she is involved as an instructor of dancing, sword battling and kimono dressing in performances held all over the country and across the world .
