On a clear day, you can see a panoramic view of the Tokachi Plain, the Daisetsuzan Mountain Range, and the Hidaka Mountain Range. During the season of fresh greenery, there is also a patchwork pattern on the fields! This is a trek that goes all around the Shiretoko Five Lakes designated as a special reserve of Shiretoko National Park, UNESCO's World Natural Heritage Area, including elevated wooden paths. This is Japan's first revolutionary Forest Adventure experience in which a licensed leader guides the area where brown bears live. In addition to the lake, you can observe seasonally changing nature, such as sika deer, red fox, wild birds, alpine plants, and autumn leaves. In addition to observing the starry sky with the naked eye, astronomical observations using a Newton-type reflective telescope with a focal length of 800 mm and a diameter of 200 mm are also performed. What you see, such as stars, moons, and comets will change depending on the conditions of the day. If the weather is good, shooting stars can be seen frequently. Even if you are empty-handed, you can participate with your camera and your own telescope!

The course starts from a lake called Lake Toro, goes to the Arekinai River, goes to the main stream of the Kushiro River, goes up the Arekinai River by canoe, and returns to Lake Toro. The scenery that changes according to the season, and the Yezo deer, white-tailed eagles, and red-crowned cranes that you can meet if your timing and luck are good are also highlights. Of course, the guide will ride with you, so please leave the operation of the canoe to us. It takes about 90 minutes (8km) to slowly descend the area downstream from the middle stream in Kushiro Marsh. * In the case of strong winds, it will guide you to the upper reaches of the marsh, which is less affected by the wind.
It was the most wonderful adventurous tour to experience the Kushiro marshland up close. Our guide was amazing. He pointed out to us all the animals that could be spotted at the marshland. He also steered the canoe comfortably and we did not have to paddle by ourselves at all if we are tired. The scenery around the river was also one of a kind and it could not be seen anywhere else. You can experience silent Shiretoko here even in the crowds of summer vacation and autumn consecutive holidays. It is a course to go through the pioneering site and the forest and go to see the groundwater falls pouring into the Sea of Okhotsk. If it is fine, you can see the 200 m high cliff walls leading to Shiretoko Cape. It is a course that goes to see the falls of the cliffs like "Falls Falls", but there is no boardwalk, and overcoming logs, it is a somewhat wild place.
