"Oh! Den" run by owner Ishiguro is one of the famous restaurants in Abashiri that you cannot enter without a reservation. He purchases fresh fish for the number of people making reservations that day, and always serves dishes using seasonal fish from the Okhotsk Sea. He is so thorough in his selection of ingredients that he sometimes goes out on fishing boats himself to learn more about fish, and even rents farm land to grow vegetables for his restaurant. Owner Ishiguro was born in Rausu Town at the base of the Shiretoko Peninsula and grew up in the region's unique food culture.
