3-theater common ticket [Korakukan + Kosaka Mine Office + Kosaka Railway Rail Park] This is a great value ticket that includes a theater performance at Korakukan, a national important cultural property, the Kosaka Mine Office, the Kosaka Railway Rail Park, and a tour of the 3 facilities. The Meiji era playhouse Korakukan is still active for over 100 years and still performs regular performances (popular theater and other) today. The 2025 performances are April 23rd to July 27th, "Shitamachi Kabuki Gumi" Leader Mimine Toru → Starring Shingetsu Kaito → Starring Hitomi Hiroshi (Starring Subaru Toma), with performances taking place in rotation for about one month each. August 1st to September 15th, "Kanzaki Jun & 10carats" Fabulous Revue Boys. Actress Murai Mayumi and former OSK Nippon Revue Company member Subaru Mirai will appear. September 21st to October 28th "Gekidan Yumeiro" led by troupe leader Kenji Kano, former OSA Nippon Opera Company member Shiho Wakaki, special appearance by Mariko Endo. It is interesting that the performers change every year as this theater troupe was formed just for the Korakukan performance. The performances are enjoyable for all ages, so many customers come, including elementary school to high school students on school trips. Please enjoy watching a performance at Korakukan, a theater that is still in operation after a century. Kosaka Town in Akita Prefecture is a town that prospered because of the Kosaka Mine. In 1910, the Meiji era theater "Korakukan" was built as a welfare facility for the employees of the Kosaka Mine. The exterior of the building is Western-style, while the inside is purely Japanese. The most distinctive feature of this theater is its blend of Japanese and Western styles, which is rare for a theater. Staff dressed in black costumes will guide you through the Korakukan facility. Enjoy an eye-opening behind-the-scenes look at a living theatre!

[June to November: held on weekdays] Akashiba Gorge is a scenic spot in Bandai Asahi National Park with a stunning landscape. The area is covered with broadleaf trees such as Japanese maples, maples, and beeches, and is a famous spot for autumn leaves that turn bright red every fall. It is said that the name Akashiba Gorge came from the fact that it was called the "Red Wall of Japan." The Arakawa River, where the gorge is located, looks like a rapid when viewed from National Route 113, but on this tour, you will canoe in a relatively calm area surrounded by granite. The field has a different flow than canoeing on a lake, which makes you feel nervous. After warming up, you will paddle upstream against the flow of the river in the first half. With a break in between, you will canoe down the valley in the second half. The view of Akashiba Gorge from the water with a guide is exceptional. *In 2025, the tour will be held from Monday to Friday. If you would like to take the Akashiba Gorge canoe tour on weekends, please contact us. On weekends, we mainly hold canoe tours around Lake Shirakawa and Mibuchi Valley. The tour will be held even if it rains, but if the river is flowing very fast, the tour may be canceled at the discretion of the local guide. In that case, the fee will be fully refunded.
