This is a service that allows foreign tourists to experience the good old days of "Showa schools", one of the hidden charms of Japanese culture, at our abandoned school campground, CAMPiece Kimitsu (Kimitsu City, Chiba). A certain rural town in Japan, the era is Showa... Enroll for one day at a school nestled in a rural landscape surrounded by nature. A “homeroom teacher” will actually teach the class in the classroom. Participants wear school uniforms and sailor uniforms. It starts with the entrance ceremony, morning homeroom, day shift, calligraphy and history classes, school lunch, sports day, and finally the graduation ceremony where the students receive their diplomas. You will experience a simulated "school life" that Japanese students have experienced. *The “homeroom teacher” will basically conduct the class in English 1. Morning homeroom 2. Graduation Ceremony 8, Festival *Optional options include camping in the schoolyard and staying at a hot spring inn.
If you appreciate having fun and learning about new cultures, this is the experience for you. I originally booked this experience because I'm a huge anime fan but what I got out of this was a lifetime of memories. The staff, from the transportation to the teachers and participants, everyone is so kind and engaging and they genuinely wanted everyone to have a good time and experience. I highly recommend!

We have prepared viewing seats where you can enjoy the Kawagoe Festival right in front of you. The viewing seats are located on the first and second floors of the Risona Coedo Terrace, a national tangible cultural property, and are adjacent to Ichibangai, where numerous floats parade around, the highlight of the Kawagoe Festival. In addition, you can enjoy food prepared by chef Mitsumasa Kadohira, the number one Italian chef in Japan (※), and free drinks, including alcohol. (※) Winner of the 15th National Italian Cuisine Competition "Gran Concorso di Cucina 2024" Comfortable indoor seats are also available, and the old head room can be rented out for families and groups. Enjoy a luxurious time in a historic building while fully experiencing the charm of the Kawagoe Festival.
