Kabuki actor Onoe Ukon will be guesting as a lecturer. He will provide detailed explanations on the history, cultural background, performances, costumes, actors, and more of Kabuki. Second son of Kiyomoto Enjudayu, the seventh head of the Kiyomoto family. His great-grandfather was Onoe Kikugoro VI, and his maternal grandfather was actor Tsuruta Koji. At the age of 7, he made his debut as Matsumushi in the Kabukiza play Maizuru Setsugekka under his real name Okamura Kensuke. At the age of 12, he took on the name Onoe Ukon II in roles such as Chobei's daughter Okusa in Ninjyoban Bunshichi Motoyui at the Shinbashi Enbujo. He took on the stage name Kiyomoto Eijudayu in January 2018. This tour offers foreign tourists the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of Kabuki, a classical theater performance from the Edo period. Professional Kabuki actors will act out selected scenes and provide detailed explanations of the history of Kabuki, theatrical performance, costumes, and the cultural significance of the actors. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn choreography under the guidance of the actors. ~Experience procedure~ Course A: (14:00) Meet in front of Inari Shrine in front of the Kabukiza Theatre Visit the gallery on the 4th floor of the Kabukiza Tower ➡ Go down the Goemon Stairs to see the Japanese roof tiles and rooftop garden ➡ 5th floor Kobikicho Hall (14:30-16:30) Experience Kabuki at Kobikicho Hall Course B: (17:00) Meet in front of Inari Shrine in front of the Kabukiza Theatre Visit the gallery on the 4th floor of the Kabukiza Tower ➡ Go down the Goemon Stairs to see the Japanese roof tiles and rooftop garden ➡ 5th floor Kobikicho Hall (17:30-19:30) Experience Kabuki at Kobikicho Hall

At Yoko Furuya's solo exhibition (focusing on her gold-lacquered works), we will be holding a tea ceremony by Nakamura Josen, head of the Kogetsuku Enshu school of Zen tea ceremony. The tea ceremony will use gold-lacquered tea bowls. Why not enjoy a cup of matcha in a hideaway in Ginza surrounded by solid wood? It will be a tea ceremony held on a table, so please feel free to come.
